Head and Body Code Injection

1 min read

Adding analytics, a font, a favicon, a verification tag, or a chat widget usually means editing theme files or installing a plugin for each one. Canvas gives you 2 boxes for it instead.

Under Appearance, Loupely Canvas, you’ll find a head box and a body box. Whatever you put in the head box is printed in the document head. Whatever you put in the body box is printed right before the closing body tag. Both take raw code, so a tracking snippet, a font link, or a meta tag all go straight in.

This keeps third-party snippets in one predictable place instead of scattered across files, and it means you never have to touch the theme’s own code to add them.

<head> your snippet </head> <body> your snippet page content your snippet </body>
meta tags, fonts, and analytics that must load early go in the head. markup that must come first, like a skip link or a tag manager noscript. scripts that touch the page go last, after the content exists.
