What we do with your information.
Short version: Loupely Canvas is a WordPress theme and plugin, not a service. We don’t collect anything from your visitors. We collect only what’s needed to deliver the product: account details when you buy Pro, nothing at all when you use the free theme. This website uses Google Analytics, and only if you allow it.
This Privacy Policy covers the loupelycanvas.com website and the purchase of Loupely Canvas Pro. It does not cover data collected by WordPress itself, your hosting provider, or any third-party plugins you install. Questions? canvas@loupelylens.com.
What we collect
If you only use the free theme: We collect nothing. The free Loupely Canvas theme and Loupely Canvas Lite run entirely on your WordPress installation. No data passes to us.
If you buy Canvas Pro: Our payment and licensing processor collects information on our behalf to complete your purchase and issue your license key. This includes:
- Your name and email address, used to create your account and deliver your license key
- Payment information (card details or PayPal), handled directly by our payment processor, so we never see or store your card number
- The domain or domains where you activate your license, used only to enforce your license tier
- Basic purchase metadata: order number, plan type, and purchase date
If you contact us for support: We receive whatever you send: your email address, a description of your issue, and any files or screenshots you attach. We use this only to respond to you.
Website analytics: loupelycanvas.com uses Google Analytics 4, and only if you allow it. The first time you visit, we ask before anything analytics-related loads, and nothing loads unless you say yes. It counts visits and which pages get read, in aggregate. It does not store your IP address, and we never use it for advertising or to track you across other sites. How we use your information
We use what we collect to do exactly what you’d expect:
- To process your purchase and deliver your license key
- To send you updates and renewal reminders for Canvas Pro
- To respond to support requests
- To verify license activations and enforce plan limits
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising. We do not use it to build profiles or target you with ads.
We may share your information with service providers who help us operate (our payment processor, our license management service, our email provider, and Google Analytics if you allow it) under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.
Cookies and tracking
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets a few cookies on loupelycanvas.com to count visits. These load only after you say yes, and never if you decline:

loupelycanvas.com does not use advertising cookies. Our payment processor may set cookies during checkout; those are governed by their own privacy policy.
The Loupely Canvas theme and Canvas Pro plugin set no cookies on your visitors’ browsers. They run entirely in your WordPress admin. What your site sends to your visitors is what you put there.
How long we keep data
We keep your account information as long as your license is active or you have an account with us. Purchase records are kept for as long as legally required for tax and accounting purposes (typically seven years in the United States). Support emails are kept until the issue is resolved, and may be retained in aggregate anonymized form.
If you want your account deleted, email canvas@loupelylens.com. We will delete what we can and explain what we’re required to keep.
Children
Loupely Canvas is a developer tool aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights over your personal data: the right to access it, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we process it. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions with data protection laws may have additional rights under those laws.
To exercise any of these rights, email canvas@loupelylens.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We are a small company based in Pennsylvania, United States. If you are in the EU or UK, your data may be transferred to the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, if you are a Pro customer, notify you by email.
