Export bundles your header, footer, head and body code, snippets, and templates into one file. Import reads that file on another install and recreates the same configuration there. A base setup you’ve refined on one site becomes the starting point for the next, without rebuilding it by hand.
It pairs with version history: export captures the current state to move it, and version history tracks how that state changes over time on each site.
