Free, complete, and running on your site in a few minutes. There are two editions and both are free. The full theme lives on GitHub. A review-compliant Lite edition is on the way to the WordPress.org directory.

Two editions.
Both free.

WordPress.org reviews themes on the principle that themes are presentation and plugins are functionality. Code injection, per-page logic, and an admin find-and-replace tool get treated as plugin territory, so they would be rejected from a directory theme. Rather than gut the real product to fit those rules, the full theme lives on GitHub, and the directory gets a clean subset built purely for discoverability. Lite is the door in, not the destination.

<full-width>

What every edition does

Both editions render your markup full width, edge to edge, with no container capping it. Drag the slider to compare a boxed theme with Canvas.

boxed full width
30% of the page width
Most themes cap content in a centered container. The rest is gutters.

Already on Lite?
Your work comes with you.

Moving to the full theme is a theme swap, not a rebuild. Your content stays put, the full theme brings your header and footer across for you, and your blog gets a starting layout you can edit. Both editions are free, so there is nothing to buy on the way up.

// your content
Stays exactly where it is
Posts, pages, categories, tags, menus, and media live in WordPress, not in the theme. Switching themes never touches them. Nothing to export, nothing to rebuild.
// header and footer
Brought across in one click
Lite keeps these in the Customizer; the full theme keeps them on its own settings screen. On switching, the full theme finds what Lite saved and offers to import them, from the Themes screen and under Appearance, Loupely Canvas.
// your blog
Starts from a real layout
Lite renders posts with a fixed layout. The full theme hands you the markup, with tokens for each post’s title, date, excerpt, and the rest. One button drops a working starter layout into the boxes, so you are not staring at a blank field.

Nothing you have already set gets overwritten. Every step only fills boxes that are still empty. One thing worth knowing: bring your header and footer across before you remove Lite, since deleting Lite clears what it saved.

<install>

Up and running in
a few minutes.

Download the zip from the releases page. In wp-admin, go to Appearance, then Themes, then Add New, then Upload Theme. Pick the zip, install, activate. That is the whole process.

Prefer the command line? Clone the repository straight into your themes folder. Either way, a bundled update checker puts update notices in wp-admin and pulls new releases from GitHub, so you get one-click updates without the directory.
